Dr. Teresa Hardee brings over 20 years of accounting, auditing, budgeting, executive leadership and management experience.  Dr. Hardee holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration (and a minor in Accounting) from Fayetteville State University, an MPA degree from North Carolina Central University, an EdD in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania and a certification from Harvard University’s Institute of Education Management (IEM).  She has served as vice president and chief financial officer at two universities and was also senior vice president and chief operating officer at the university level. Dr. Hardee is a certified public accountant (CPA) and is Six Sigma Black Belt Certified.

 

​Dr. Hardee's leadership has produced unprecedented improvements in financial and operational performance through business-processes management, risk management and leveraging technological advancements to ensure effective and efficient processes.  She has had engagements at several universities leading to extraordinary financial and operational results. She has spent the last several years using data analytics to develop insights to enable organizations to achieve outcomes, including working on a major grant with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  She has written articles on higher education performance and has served on many higher education committees that influence policies and practices within the higher education and non-profit landscape.
